While hanging out at a recent chalk festival with some
of my fellow street painters, the subject came up (as it almost always
does) of how cool it would be if someone would make a place where we
could list ourselves, that artist seekers could find us easily. Kind of
like an artists yellow pages, per se.
A lot of times, the artists are approached at the festival or show by
people seeking our talents, and sometimes we will refer our artist
friends as well. Same for us finding venues to participate in. We will
often ask each other, networking by word of mouth.So, that day, chatting with my pals, I thought, “Hmmmm, I could do that. Why not?”
And here you have it, a place to find talent, and a place for talent to find outlets.
Artist Contact Now! is born.
